Is Satan Responsible for all Evil in the World?

Q: Is Satan responsible for all evil in the world?

Technically he is. 

Every evil vice and act can always be traced back to Satan. But he doesn’t do this alone, he does it in partnership with humans (the ones with the legal rights of custodianship and stewardship of the earth). 

It should also be noted that there are things that could be classified as “evil” that Satan didn’t directly do, instead, it came as an act of divine judgement. This usually happens when the measure of the iniquity of a particular people or nation is full and overflowing, divine judgement would follow which could be disastrous and classified as evil.

However, divine judgment wouldn’t come if there was no need for it. Satan is usually responsible for leading individuals and people to a life of sin that ultimately brings about a divine judgement. So then, whether it is Satan’s wickedness, the free will of man (works of the flesh), or an act of divine judgement, everything still goes back to Satan.
