10 years ago, if someone had told you your life would turn out the way it currently is, would you have believed?
If your current situation isn’t pleasant, then I’m sure your answer would be a “No.” Even my answer would be A BIG FAT NO. But here we are!
10 years seem like a very long time, but it isn’t. 10 years ago was 2009, and guess what, I remember that year like it was just yesterday.
10 years ago, you had dreams and aspirations, you talked about who you would have become in 10 years (by now), and all the things you would have. You talked!
Therefore, if I tell you, you’d believe me that people’s lives don’t change just because they wish and said it would. NO! it takes much more than talking.
So excuse me, don’t go saying, wishing and thinking that your life would be any better in 10 years, without actually doing something about it. It won’t.
If no one will tell you, I will. If all you do is just talk about all the things you want to do and have, and then sit back hoping a miracle will make it happen, then in 10 years, your life would turn out worse than it currently is.
In 10 years, you’d still be jobless, clueless, lacking skill, lacking meaningful relationships, living from hand to mouth, and constantly broke if you all you do is talk and never act.
It is not a curse, neither is it prophecy. It’s just the fact.
Stop expecting the goodies of life to come, wake you up from sleep and present itself to you. It won’t.
LABOUR (WORK) IS THE MOTHER OF EXPECTATION.
So get to work! And until you put in work; planting, nurturing and growing, don’t expect a rose garden to appear. Don’t tell me you have faith, show me what your faith is based on.
You are the master of your own life and destiny, but YOU MUST PLAY THE ROLE OF A MASTER (not a slave or learner).
WHAT ROLE ARE YOU CURRENTLY PLAYING IN YOUR OWN LIFE???
In 10 years, it will be 2029. It’s not about counting the years, it’s about recording reasonable growth. The next 10 years of your life can be your best yet. DO YOU BELIEVE???
But it’s not just about saying it and believing it, it is also about working towards it and doing something about it.
“But someone will say, ‘You have faith and I have works.’ Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:18
Run with me.
