Q: Why did Satan rebel against God?

It was because of his beauty which was described as being perfect that he became prideful. His pride led him to desire more than God gave him, and it ultimately led to his fall. But it all began with his beauty getting into his head.

In his pride he didn’t want anyone to be higher than him in authority, he wanted to be the next after God (the office/authority Jesus occupies). Somehow he believed he could pull it off and therefore began his campaign against God’s divine order of divine election.

Pride (together with all that comes with it) was what made Satan rebel against God.
