Satan influences the world today the same way he did from the beginning. There’s nothing new under heaven. Satan influences the world through his lies, his ideas, teachings (doctrines), his mixtures (of truth and lies) and deceptions. 

There’s hardly a topic under heaven (spiritual and otherwise) that Satan doesn’t have a teaching on. These teachings or point of views form wrong belief systems in the minds of people that blind them from the truth and enslave them to do his will. 

Satan influences the world by inventing and controlling the narratives, belief systems, culture, societal systems, governmental systems, distractions, temptations, sinful desire, etc.
