Not only can Satan influence dreams, but he can also influence visions, trances, prophecies and other prophetic experiences. His goal might be to scare you, keep you afraid which keeps you in some kind of bondage to an unending cycle. His goal can also be to deceive and mislead you, making you think that the dream, vision or revelation is from God.

This is why it is important to master the voice and Word of God. Any dream or revelation that is contrary to the written Word of God, what God has said or is saying to you is probably from Satan. If the dream has no meaningful and clear message or instruction, it is probably from Satan. If the dream produces fear or confusion, leading you to act out of fear, it is probably from Satan.
